SP's Tattoo/drawing symbol

I've noticed at the shows that the band has an Asian symbol possibly tattooed or drawn on themselves. I've been the symbol on Emma's hand, Shim's neck, and Mark's arm.

My question is: is it Japanese/Chinese/etc? And what does it mean if anyone knows? Do you know where I can find out?

It's actually a Japanese symbol and I know on Shim's neck it's Emma's name. I'm not sure about the other's but I would assume it would be one of their names.

Emma draws it on all three of them. It's just a "good luck" kind of thing the band does together.

With that said.. does anyone have a good picture of it? I've seen a pic and it is decent, but I cant get the whole thing in and if I do decide to tat it on I dont want it to be messed up lol.

We actually had a little discussion about this thread in Houston before the show at the Meridian Room. Mark, Emma and I were on the bus and talked a bit about this and the whole forum in general.

Just wanted to let you know that the guys and Emma are jumping on here and reading your posts and I know how much they appreciate all the fans support they are getting here.

Yes, yes I agree!! I think it is great that they want to get involved because it shows how much they care about their fans and how much they appreciate us..
