So, if you had to show/introduce a group of random people to the lovely Sick Puppies what song would you choose? You can only choose ONE song to show off their awesomeness. :rock:

I myself would probably choose Odd One. :music:

i think, it would be "Riptide" i love it! although i love all their songs, but this one is the one, that shows, how they care about current issues, bring it to the point, being honest and ... it's just a awesome song! ^^ :music:

Mine would probably be either Nothing Really Matters or You're Going Down. Since they are a rock band I would want them to hear a rock song and get their faces rocked off. These are both songs that do just that. :biggrin:

It would probably depend on the group of people for me. If I was showing it to my mom and her friends I might pick Maybe or White Balloons. If I was showing it to my friends (who haven't already been introduced

) I'd probably pick Riptide.

The Pretender, good example of vocals, of the sweet bass lines, the rocking bridge at the end, and just all around one of my favorite SP songs.

I always force people to listen to Howard's Tale. It's my favorite song by Sick Puppies (actually, it's my favorite song of all). I just LOVE the lyrics. The story that is told is so extremely sad, but it is good that it's told.

I would choose Cancer because of the heavy guitar riffs, awesome bass line, amazing drum beat.... Ahh hell the song is good in every way. Can't wait for the new album! :music:

It depends on their music taste.... When I'm trying to actually get someone into something i choose teh ease them in method....
I'v showed a lot of my friends Maybe then Odd One and it's worked so far :biggrin:

. But some of my other friends I start with Cancer because of what they already listen too...
If I had to choose one song it would be Riptide, it really shows how they can make a simple bass line into a full song and give it a deeper meaning. Plus I absolutely adore music with a political message. :smile:

I am surprised nobody has said "what are you looking for". To me that seems to be a strong message that not enough people understand. It needs to be spread. All sick puppies songs usually have meaning, but not all of them are obvious. What I mean to say is, people can listen to sick puppies songs, but they don't often hear them. Although other songs may have a stronger message (cancer for example). People wont go to the effort of understanding what 'dressed up as life' means.

If my band didn't already know them I would show them "My World" because that song means everything to me... it showed me that life sucks but you can power through and you can do anything. That and the drums, vocals, and guitar are pretty nice. That and the guy would like the music video.
