You're Going Down or Maybe?

Just wondering... Do you think the new album will sound more like You're Going Down or Maybe? (Or which would you prefer?) Essentially, do you think they will go heavier or more, well, pop?

I'm hoping for the heavier stuff as well. I feel like the pop songs are the ones they tend to make their singles cuz they're more radio friendly, but the heavier ones get played at live shows so im sure it will be a mixture of both.

I hope they go more heavier on this album. Don't get me wrong... I like Tri-Polar but Dressed Up as Life is by far my favorite albums of theirs so I hope they go more heavier just like they did when they made Dressed Up as Life.

am I the only one that would prefer more like maybe?
Ofcourse I love the heavy stuff too and would like heavy stuff in addition to the softer stuff. I think songs like "what are you looking for" and "too many words" have awesome lyrics that mean alot, for example in my car i like singing along to too many words. when im a bit annoyed i listen to deliverance and a bit sad i listen to my world. These are all softer music, and like i said. They are easy to relate to, but even if not they still set a similar mood to whatever mood i happen to be in. If were talking about live music, then heavy stuff are great to bounce about to, but lighter stuff also for a nice wee break and singalong perhaps at the end of the night, so were not all hyped up when were leaving.

I want another all over the place album with you're going downs and don't walk aways but I love the in between songs like odd one and rip tide or most of DUAL.

I like the mixture, and wouldn`t mind if they did that on the next album to. But I wouldn`t mind if they did more like You`re going down too.
I love how Shim can go from sweet to aggressive and still sound great, but he could do that, and they could do great ballads, without the songs being too poppy. But I like the mixture.

Lyrically, "Maybe" by a long shot. Musically, YGD definitely. I love YGD but the lyrics are a bit generic, where as maybe has more of a pop sound but some of my favorite lyrics from the album. I'd like to hear more of the sound from DUAL again with a little more heavy mixed in. I want less effects on the voice though, I love Tri-polar but a little too many effects. Either way can't wait


Actually the perfect song to describe the sound i want, "The Pretender", great bass, slow part with clear vocals, into fast shredding and a little heavier at the end

YGD for me! I love Maybe, but I like the heavier sound with heavier fills...or a combo of both like Odd One.

Definitely love the heavier stuff. I'd still rate "Rock Kids" as my top favorite SP song.

But "All The Same" first caught my attention soo... I guess I'm undecided.
