Mistakes (a song)

I write the songs for my band and this is one of my two most favorite ones. Its called mistakes and its about 3 things. Hope you like it. The part with parenthesis around it is the chorus.

What if I could put the razor down?
I'm addicted to this.
In the blood I drown,
I wish the pain hurt me.
I wish I could fall into an abyss,
Maybe than I could hurt.
I'm sick of the dirt
being kicked onto me like I'm nothing.

(If only we'd known
what we were doing.
We were prone to lie.
if only help would arrive.
We feel no pain
this is where I draw the line.
I'm sick of making the same mistakes.)

Never have I felt so alone
as I play with my food
leaving the meat on the bone.
I wish I could eat but it would only come back up.
That one who doesn't eat?
Yup, that's me.
I feel no hunger now;
how much longer do I have?

CHORUS

She moves her hair.
Her life changed in a night.
What was in her she couldn't fight.
A life time commitment,
at least he made her feel alright.
How long would it remain a secret?
Would he stay?
Well, that's just the way it goes.

Our mistakes don't define us so don't stress.
We all make them.
It's what we do after that matters.

Thanks people keep telling me that its too dark. The guy whose supposed to sing it isn't sure if he wants to. If you want I'll post my favorite one.

Rock. We want to do some really heavy stuff but their cutting me a break with lyrics. We're not very good yet.
