Introducing Deb McElroy Ferpotto, our Fan of the Week!

When did you first hear about the band?
My first experience I can remember was in 2008 or so? I was compiling a list of "loud, angry, I'm too old for this" music for my iPod and a friend introduced me to War and Going Down. It was love at first listen.

Are you a SPWC member?
Yes

If so, why/when did you join the world crew?
Very recently, just a few months ago. I joined because I love to read about what they do, and what they stand for, and how they treat their fans. It is amazing how down to earth and "normal" they really seem to be.

What is your favorite song?
This depends on the day, and my mood. I absolutely could not pick just one. They change rotation week to week, this week my top three would be My World, Anywhere But Here, and Don't Walk Away.

Where are you from?
I am from a small town in Illinois called Westville. It is about an hour and a half from Indianapolis, IN

Why do you love them?
Why would I not? Their music makes me feel good, no matter what my mood, I can find a song to fit and either feed my "rage" (ha) or cheer me up, or just make me say, yep...that's right, sing it Shim! I also have a big ole girl crush on Emma, though I don't swing that way...lol. Everyone is allowed one of those right?

I am figuratively counting down the days until the new album is out. Can't wait for a real release date so I can actually count down.
I don’t know what the age of the typical Sick Puppies fan is, and maybe I am smack dab in the middle of the norm. I hope they know that they reach more than a small age group of people, and we aren't all young smile, just young at heart.
