So am I just going to have to take this whole week off?

I'll have to check into some logistics to see if I can pull this off.

It's so hard to not got to a show in the Midwest, but I'm torn about having enough vacation left over to see them as much as possible when they drop the album and hopefully headline a tour.

Got a great story about David sent to SPWC FB I thought I should share! Cool story!

"Hi! I saw Sick Puppies last night in Peoria, AMAZING show! They were signing merch afterwards so I got in line and got my cd signed. David, a SPWC ambassador was there and told everyone "autographs only, no pics." When we got to the front of the line and I got my cd signed, security was being kinda pushy and I couldn't tell the band how I've been working really hard (I've been emailing everyone who has something to do with LAS and SP for almost a year now!) to get Like a Storm and SP to play together. They have toured with so many of the same bands and they are both from the Aus/NZ area, so I thought that if they ever toured together, it would be a lineup that made perfect sense.

After I got my cd signed, my mom and I stepped back from the table and I told David what happened. Then he went and told Shim & Shim looked over at me & smiled and said "you've been waiting a long time haven't you?" I said "uh huh!" & gave him a thumbs up and he started laughing. So then Mark and Emma were walking back to go backstage and Shim came up to me & took the ONLY fan photo that night.

I told Shim about how I've been working for a long time to get Like a Storm and SP to play together and how I have emailed everyone affiliated with them suggesting they tour together and how now they are playing with LAS at The Machine Shop. So he gave me a big hug and said "wow, thank you so much. That's really awesome of you. So I guess we will see you tomorrow then?" I said "No. I really wanted to go, but its not all-ages." And then in his adorable Australian voice he says "Oh what the f---! There's not even anything we can do about it since it's the venue. That sucks. I'm sorry you can't go. But thank you for all your support, it was so great to meet you." Then he gave me another hug and I said thank you for taking a picture with me even though everyone had said no and I said to have a great time in Michigan Friday. Then my Mom and I went back to our seats and watched Papa Roach.

That was so sweet of David and Shim to do that. I really appreciate it. I told Matt from Like a Storm what happened right away and he was really happy that I got to meet them. hopefully they will play together in the future and I will be able to go."

The show in Peoria was great! Thanks for sharing my story, it was an incredible experience! I am relatively new to the forum, but look forward to getting more involved here. I was not the tattoo artist at the show, I was the short 15 year old decked out in the Like a Storm gear with my Mom , haha.
