The feeling of being the guinea pig year T_T
I feel like there wasn't a single grade where there wasn't some random person who came in and said "okay we're trying out this new thing, and you guys get to do it first and we'll see how it works!"
I've had to take a bazillion extra tests, half of them not even worth anything, all for the sake of this new crap they tried on us.
Not to mention the Personal Finance class they forced on us. Sure, it *sounds* useful. You go into it thinking "well, this'll be boring, but at least I'll get something useful out of it!"
... Nope. It's a half-year vocab cram session. There's so much to go over and not enough time that we weren't even allowed to review anything. You just did the work, copied down endless stuff that you didn't need (do I REALLY need to know ALL of the different kinds of stocks and bonds?!) and then went into the test hoping you had it right.
We're super super lucky- for our last state test, we only had to do math and english. I hear they're instituting more tests for the... I think it's the sophomores? Not to mention Christie is talking about making a longer school day. Riiiight because if you put a kid who doesn't care in a classroom for longer, he'll magically start caring and his grade will go from an F to an A.
Stress at being overworked is totally not a thing.
We're encouraged to take advanced classes, do sports and clubs, all that jazz. All the people I know that do that, they're up until 2 am on a regular basis doing homework, and waking up at 4 am to study for AP tests. They skip breakfast, they do it during lunch, too. When do these kids get time to act like humans?

Re: Post Your Random Thoughts
That. Is. Awful.
I canNOT imagine doing that crap. I know at my high school, we took Duel Credit classes, which meant we were taking them for both high school AND college credit (a miracle now and the reason why I can graduate early), but we did a lot more than some AP classes but we were all guaranteed full college credit since we didn't have to take those awful AP tests. It. Was. FANTASTIC!
As for sports, I have NO idea how people do those in high school. Granted, I made myself get up at 4:45 every morning to go swim laps at the YMCA, but I would still get to school at 7:30, get out at 3:15 and do non-stop homework until 10 or 11 at night. It just got worse when I was taking ALL college classes through the high school.
Oof, were you one of those classes that got computers? They did that the year after I graduated. I guess it was a HUGE fuster cluck. Average GPA at the school plummeted and everyone kept getting into trouble. SO glad I didn't have to deal with that.
OMG! I'm in Personal Finance now (it's actually a freshman class, but anyone can take it at any time). I had the EXACT same thought. Took it because it sounded like it would come in handy one day. Yeah, no. Not the case. Like you said: VOCAB DUMPING GROUND! GAH!
Is it Summer yet?

Re: Post Your Random Thoughts
You mean did they give us each a computer to keep? Nope. We don't have the budget for that. We have the budget to buy a set of ipads that nobody uses, though. My school has carts with sets of laptops and ipads on them that can be wheeled to classrooms for whoever happens to need them. But they usually just keep them in the library because whenever a class needs computers they just go to a computer lab or the library.
I do take one class where it's technically an AP class, but you had to sign up and pay for the credits at the beginning of the year- which I was going to do, but then I decided against it since it's a computers class and I plan on going to an art school. I don't know if we have to take an AP test or not, but my teacher *certainly* likes to remind us that 'this is a college-level course, you know, it's not supposed to be easy, you really gotta step it up and do quality work!'
She's reaaaally picky XD

Oh hey, that's what my school had! Minus the iPads. Our computer carts were constantly locked in the back room of the media center though because they were afraid something would happen to them. Makes sense, right?
Ugh, picky teachers are the worst!!!! But you will do great. It'll fly by. No really.

Every time Cora posts, I'm absolutely mesmerized by the final gif in her sig - I can't help watching it at least 3-4 runs every time I see it. XD

I think it was on their Facebook page from the very beginning of the Revolver Tour. Whenever that was.
Hehe, and that's Ali's doing. She's a stud like that, making Gifs and stuff.

That moment when you say: "I am just going to login on SPWC before I take a bath". When you see, it has passed 1 hour...
