Well as the title says, heres the Foo Fighters thread. In this thread, we shall discuss pineapples

no no...we'll talk about the Foo's.

I've been lucky enough to see them 3 times. The first was a festival in Montreal called Summersault..truthfully I was there because Our Lady Peace was there.

The second time was in Los Angeles 2007. That would have to be one of my favorite shows because of everything that went on before hand...we drove from Las Vegas ...got stuck in traffic...thought we missed the show...pulled into the parking lot at dodger stadium...heard them playing...ran around dodger stadium looking for will call...found it...ran around looking for our seats...and finally enjoyed the rest of the show They were opening for the Police that night, but you could tell there were alot of foo fans there.

The third time was this year in March. It was awesome. When they did My Hero...I nearly melted. What made it even better was the fact that we were so close.

anywho, theres alot more that I could say, but I'll save that for another day.

Nice! I've seen them twice. Once in Philly with Weezer and about 2 years later in philly on the acoustic tour. Both where amazing shows that I'll never forget. Dave Grohl is an increadable artist. Its funny you say about my hero. That was like my flagship song for years. And one of the first songs I wanted to learn when I started drumming. Unfortunatly It took me an entire year to get that good but were playing it for the first time at a talent show this weekend! Im soooo excited, Im going have video taken and i'll post it!

cant wait to see it! I can understand why it would take a year to learn it, they have some crazy stuff happening in that song.

I love the Foo Fighters, I have for a long time. I've seen them 4 times, 3 of them with Sheila (aka lovehate) and another one at a festival called Edgefest in 1998. I'd never been to a rock concert before and didn't know what to expect. My friends and I wandered into the mosh pit by accident and after the first 2 notes of Monkey Wrench, had to fight our way out :-/ It was an interesting experience to say the least Great show, though

The Montreal show in March was incredible. The acoustic versions of Marigold and My Hero were incredible and if they'd ended the show right there I would have floated out the door. They're amazing live.

I saw an acoustic set on TV about a month ago, it was really good, Dave Grohl is a very good artist, and he's funny as hell too. Before every song he would tell a little story about it, and he also talked about the early Nirvana days. Good stuff

Serge: like kem said, if you get the chance to see them live, you should. They really do know how to put a show that any music fan would enjoy.

LOVE the Foos! I saw them for the first time last Jan and had the time of my life. I'll be seeing them again at Red Rock in a couple of months. Weee! He cracks me up even if he's not trying to:

I love them! I've only seen them in Iceland, which I've said already in another thread somewhere...But it was the most awesome concert ever and I'll never forget it because of who I went with. I went with my 4th cousin from Iceland and his cousin from Norway, and my 4th cousin from the other side of my family from Vancouver who went to Iceland with me, and our other distant cousin's girlfriend. I don't know why the actual cousin didn't come. lol But it's just crazy that we're all so distantly related, all from different sides of the family, all from different places and all in one spot enjoying the wickedly awesome Foo Fighters together!

I remember there were these dudes like circling around where we were, scoping out the scene, and all of a sudden they jumped the railing and ran for the stage. I knew they were going to do it too! Security snatched the one guy but the other got away! Oh and my one cousin lifted me up onto her shoulders for awhile. I'd never done that at a concert before. Totally forgot about that until now. It was a great night. lol..

I dunno....the Foo's will always have a special place in my heart because of the memories I have from going to shows with friends. Like I mentioned before, me, kem and two other friends went all the way to L.A to see them. We were all at the show in montreal and had a great time. Whenever we take a road trip, we are always blasting the foo's in the car singing along just to stay awake. The song In Your Honor will forever be remembered as the song that made the summer trip of 07' that much more awesome

If you have an hour and a half and love the foo fighters than you must watch this, they do rock and roll with jimmi page and john paul jones! dave is on drums, and taylor sings. It was increadable:
