Well, now that my appointments have been cancelled due to my car being in the shop ... I get to catch up on projects that I haven't even had time to start ...

And you know, watch time slow to a crawl while we wait for tomorrow ...

I'm actually writing - managed to draft a potential chapter in this book tonight and now I'm moving onto a short story. It's been a while since I was able to write in any kind of meaningful way beyond free writing, so it's felt really good.

I am currently hanging out in a hotel room in Sioux Falls (I love this city again now that I've graduated from college....). I wish I would have brought my computer. I don't know what it is about hotels, but they always make me want to write. I want to keep going on that project I spent about 4 years on and then gave up. I need to completely reformat and reimagine a lot of it. So much work. But it would be so much fun to get back into it again. I enjoyed life so much more back then when everything was inspiration for one scene or another....

Yep. Getting back to that.

And it's about two adopted twins who live as circus acts in a post apocalyptic Charles Dickens type of world , they are musical prodigies and when they play thier musical instruments they emit magic from them. After and routine act, which causes them to lose their jobs at the circus, and they set out for an adventure to find out where they got thier magic powers from and who thier real parents are. The cast of carachters are very interesting (circus people, carnies, feral forest people, holligans, scientists, alchemists, musicians) the list goes on! and I think it's very neat how relatable the carachters are. I can see myself relating to at least one of the carachters.

If you like Lord of The Rings and Golden Compass and Lemony Snickets Series Of Unfourtunate Events. You'll like this one. Everyone is different when it comes to books but so far I really love where this book is going. Plus Wes Anderson's girlfriend wrote it.

Almost halfway through the marathon 12-hour overtime shift I for some reason signed myself up for, haha.

Fun fact... I learned that one of the EMT's up in the ED is a fellow SP fan. I happened to be wearing a bracelet I made out of guitar picks I've caught at shows, two of them are SP picks. He noticed it when he came down to the lab (where I work) to pick up some products from me. Told me a story about getting hit in the face with one of Mark's drumsticks at a show (but at least he caught it after!) hehe.
