this is such a powerful song... it gives me chills. i can really relate to it.. it completely sums up what i was going through about a year ago.
i love at the end of the second verse when he says 'paralyzed' and he holds the note into the chorus.. haha.

Does anyone know if this song is meant to go along with the movie "stay"? On youtube the video has clips of the movie. I just saw that movie today, and the song is completely in line with the themes/events/points of the movie. Especially when he says "what I believed to be true it was only a dream" "this was my mistake..." and more lines too... has anyone seen the movie? Do you know what I am talking about?

The line of the song that says "What I believe to be true it was only a dream":

The following line of the song is "That lived in me" not "believed in me".

That is another example of a misheard lyric. :smile:

This song is yet another example of the raw emotion Sick Puppies put into their music. It's the third song I've ever heard that gave me chills literally throughout my entire body. The other two were Odd One and White Balloons. Sick Puppies put more emotion into their songs than ALL of the other music I have EVER heard combined. It's simply beautiful. And I never really got the whole man committing suicide thing from this song but when I heard Shim explain it it made complete sense, and I listened to it at least 10 times. I did this while I was supposed to be writing an essay for a poetry class, but I found so much more emotion in this one song than in all of the poems in my textbook, which is saying a lot! What else can I say other than SICK PUPPIES ARE INCREDIBLE!!

The song reads like a poem, the lyrics really stand on they're own. There is so much emotion in the words, even withought music. The words almost can't get any better, and the way its sang just shows all the raw energy in it. Beautiful song.
