I'll post a picture of it tomorrow - a friend of mine is going to sketch it for me . There is a heart with long swirls looping out on each side , a raven and the word Fly incorporated into it as well -- I love all things with wings

Toni- that would be really cool if we both have them done by the Chicago show!! I will be uploading the image in a few minutes - and yes it will be at the bottom of my neck (in the back ) . I have short hair so you would always see it in the summer but not so much in the winter The size will probably be the length of my neck and will be all black - possibly a little silver here and there but no other colors.

Here is a rough draft of it ..it will look much better once the tattoo artist sketches it out and I'm thinking that the heart will be a little more ornate/gothic - I nixed the raven image (even though they are my favorite winged creature) because it just didn't look right. The Kanji inside the heart symbolizes "Fly" . And of course the image is a little long so it cut off the swirlies on the right side , but they extend out just like the left side does.

Donna - I am actually almost POSITIVE that I want to get the drippy heart SP logo. In black (or dark whatever) just like it appears on the green girlie t-shirt. I actually have that shirt and I thought about that as soon as I got it. That way, it is a reminder of my INSANE OBSESSION/LOVE with SP, yet it is really just cool too. People who don't know that it is SP would never know the difference. I don't have an appt or anything yet, but a friend of mine from work, his brother is an absolutely amazing tattoo artist, so I'm sure that would be really easy for him. Maybe he'd even have some idea of something to make it really special...

Anyway, I really can't wait to see it. You'll have to let us know how it goes (the pain and everything)!

Love the design, Donna! I've been harassing my family members to get me a gift certificate to a tattoo parlor for my b-day. My Mom said my Dad would kill her if she did that...and my Dad said only if I got I Love Mom and Dad tattooed on me. I'll be 27 years old, and they still don't want to encourage it. (well, my Mom doesn't care, it's my Dad). I'm wondering if she'll do it anyway. I guess I'll find out tomorrow!

Toni- that is a really cool idea , go for it! Tattoos don't have to have an "obvious" meaning so even if no one else knew that it was SP related it's all good . As long as the design holds special meaning for you , that's what matters.
Hope you get yours before Chicago as well - I want to see it in person!

Becky - that would be a really cool gift - I hope they get it for you...maybe you could have yours before the show as well ! I don't plan on telling my parents, when they see it I know I'll hear sh*t but it'll be too late then !

so these are two of my tattoos. i have to get more pics but these are my faves right now. my mom and pop sparrows.



i got these on my parents 40th anniversary. i added my own touch to them.. my dad is a pastor so i am sooo used to seeing him with a tie on.. and my mom every sunday when i was a kid she would wear her pearls to church and that hat to block the sun.
