Some of the posts in this forum are the reason I don't like to talk politics. Especially to family or friends. I just try to respect everyone's opinions and keep mine to myself.

I once heard someone say, "There are two things I don't talk to people about. Politics and breastfeeding"!

It's quite funny, but most people (especially women in regards to the latter) are EXTREMELY opinionated about both. I just try to keep an open mind!

But I like to read what you guys write! I'll just keep my 2 cents to myself!

So McCain announced Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin as his VP. I'm pretty surprised!

Although he probably did it as a "slap" to Obama camp lol.

this board has one of the most opinionated MODERATORS i have ever seen in all of my years on the internet. i still have yet to hear what would make him a good president other than he gave two "good" speeches. he did nothing in the senate and he has no plans on how to implement his ideas. do you understand the negative effect a universal health care program would have on our nations health care facilities???? where is the funding going to come from??? why would you pull out of a war you are currently turning over to Iraqi's???? yes im sorry it wasnt on the front page but the US military has turned over 10 of 18 provinces to Iraqi control. the marines are in Iraq mainly for reconstruction. within 3 years it will be over, but of course that credit will go to the president in charge then. the Democrats have had over two years to "fix" stuff, but all they have done is name a few post offices and parks. some people need to stop arguing just to do it and open their eyes and ears to reality. regardless of how much support he has, (or how much the left-wing media portrays) the majority of his support comes from fractions that simply do not show up to vote. also most of the states he won in the primaries are red states so when Republians are allowed to vote, he wont win the state. its simple numbers and statistics. btw i also noticed you said you hate the border fence, because it hinders the free movement of people?? illegals are the biggest drain on our economy, not IMMIGRANTS, illegals, you seem to have them confused. there is nothing wrong with people moving here the legal way and becoming a citizen. as an interesting side not, Obama supported the Secure Fence Act. it was built to secure the border and help keep potential terrorists out. i am very impartial to stuff, but at least educate yourself on the subject before starting an 8-page flame war. brian pointed out all of the inaccuracies several pages ago. you cant vote for a person to be the President of the United States because he is the biggest pop icon of the year. he has no resume and he has no concrete plan.
