My animals are in my sig, but here's some more

This was Lady Di. (We called her Di) She was completely my best friend. When she was a puppy, we were going to name her PITA. (Pain in the...I think you get the picture). She was a complete butt, but she was still so awesome. She would sleep in my bed every night, and would often push me out of the bed and onto the floor

This was Christmas 06. She was sleeping on my Dad's lap (Mr. "dont let Di on the furniture!) and my Aunt is on the couch


She snuggled under my blankets when I was getting ready to go to bed


And her as a puppy




And this was Jesse. He was my Mom's baby. He was probably the coolest cat I've ever known. He taught himself to pee on the potty and was so incredibly fat!

He was sleeping on my Mom's chest, and when she went to talk, he put his paw over her mouth!


And one time an old Easter basket fell on my floor so he decided to sleep in it for the afternoon

^ He was a party animal! We had to put him down last month. He was 17 1/2 years old. Developed some health issues and was just getting worse over time.

So, I'm sure at least some of you have experienced the law of nature that states animals must become sick on Saturday nights... When the vet isn't open again until Monday... *UGH!*

So tonight I get home from work and Babins (my kitten, shown below):



His eye is swollen shut! And he's jerking his head around like he's all painful. But nooo, it has to be a Saturday night where all that's left is the Emergency Clinic that is a $99 exam alone. *Sigh*

I don't know what to do because this weekend is the Chicago show... I need my money. But eyes are never something to mess with. If you leave a problem too long, they can go blind...

Thanks, Katy. Turns out the exam fee is $108...

awhh crystal..! i hope everything works out....
and i dont want to scare you, but
the same thing happened to my cat.
she had an eye infection when she was a kitten,
(unfortunately my mom thought it would heal up)
and she lost her one eye, we named her argg....
the pirate kittie... i thought it fit her appearance.
she was the only one eyed cat so, it was pretty easy to name her.
(we also had a ninja cat, and its funny because they always fought.)
she ended up living 4 years longer then any of the others.
ironic huh? she died last month when snoopie ate her.

I know...

His eye is all cloudy and squinted and painful. The clouding is what worries me the most because glaucoma is usually the cause of losing an eye... That's what happened to that kitten that was abused that died that I had talked about before.

well, i hope that nothing bad happens to your cat, its adorable.
and it makes me want a inside cat again, really bad.
