Oh, I am so glad to hear they at least moved to another venue and the pups were there!! We had so many of our board members going, so that would've been so disappointing. That really sucks you couldn't go Tony, I'm sorry!

Yes, the show was most definitely awesome. I think the cancellation actually worked out in our favor. It was great to meet everyone new and see everyone that I have met that I never get to see!! Good times...

OK, I'm gonna start and everyone else can fill in the holes... And anything that they did differently, lmao.

So I left work at noon on Friday, got gas, and left for Chicago at 1:00 pm. I was going to stay with Nikki, however there was so much construction in the area that I took a detour that took me in a giant circle and ended up accidentally overshooting my exit so I just kept going not knowing exactly where I was or where I was supposed to be, lol. So I decided that instead of backtracking, it would be best to just continue on and stay with Susanna and the clan for the night, as I had already planned on staying with them Saturday night. The drive sucked as it would NOT stop raining and Chicago drivers truly are lunatics, but I made it. It continued raining and everything was completely flooded the next morning (hence the show cancellation). We were all freaking out - I think Susanna said there were two countries and seven states present at that show! Imagine not being able to see them after getting that many people together! So Susanna got a hold of Paul, who hadn't gotten the official word of cancellation yet, but we decided to head on down to the venue nonetheless, considering maybe we could just see them for a moment if the show was truly cancelled before they hopped back on a flight to California. On the way to the venue, Paul told us about the change in plans for some bands to be performing at the Cubby Bear so we headed on over. It being 21+ there was a huge debate about Kaiden (the manager there considered him a liability and wouldn't let him in... ) So we waited for a little while for Paul to be his knight-in-shining-armor self and tell them that "he's with the band," and so we all got in.

We all hung out for a little bit when Susanna came down to get us to spend some time with Shim, Emma, and Mark as their performance was knocked back in time a bit (they were supposed to perform second but they got pushed to third to last - there were 5-6 bands playing, I believe). Because some of the bigger bands that were supposed to have played that day bailed, the Pups' got a much longer set (I believe it was a little over an hour) and they totally rocked... Of course, how could you expect anything else??

It was also AMAZING to meet all of you. Susanna, Beth, Kaiden, Donna, Becky, Kemmy, Sheila, Stephanie, Toni, and Melissa - It was SOOO nice to meet you! (And it was great to see you again Nikki and Nicole!) I couldn't imagine any better of a way to have spent my weekend than with you guys... Tony - I am so sorry that you didn't get a chance to be there.

I just now got home... 10 hours of driving there and 10 hours back was definitely...blah. Lol. Until I think of anything else I may want to say, I leave you with this...

Yea, it's hard to remember each setlist when it's been changed up a bit at each show I've been to this year, lol. But how on earth could I have forgotten to include Say My Name?!?! That's my favorite live song!! Lol.

Glad you guys had a good time. Sounds like I really missed out. God only knows when I'll get another chance to see em. I'm gonna try to make it to the Grand Rapids show, but not sure if that will work out. This was me the whole 2hr drive back home ->
