so...seeing as there are a few more Canadians on this board I felt the need to bring this thread back to life
So whats up with the rest of you guys? How have you been? What are the plans for this upcoming Thanksgiving weekend?

Re: Canadians
I'm not watching hockey. Not all Canadians are
It's going to be a busy holiday weekend for me. Celebrating my birthday with friends on saturday (as soon as I can decide WHAT to do ), doing the Thanksgiving thing on the Sunday and my actual birthday is the monday so I guess I will be celebrating with family then.
What's everyone else doing? What do you do for Thanksgiving?

Re: Canadians
I still haven't broke it to my family that I'm having Thanksgiving with my friends this year.
I guess I'm going to have to spill the beans today! Also, I don't watch Hockey, but apparently my friend says I have to this weekend, but coming from BC cheering on the Oilers just seems so wrong!

Re: Canadians
Yeaah.. you ladies lost me.
I just hung out with friends, no touristy stuff. I played baseball! Well actually it was more so "catch", but on Albertan turf! It was a lot of fun though
Went to the biggest mall in the worrrld. It is still the biggest right? And I bought a hot new set of boots. I should totally share a photo later, and I got a new coat because it was stylin' the aqua-teal shadey that I like so much.

Re: Canadians
Oops, sorry Sham just referring to the bloc quebecois .... you guys are lucky not to know... they can be icky
I like non touristy... you get a better feel for the area. Was it West Edmonton Mall you went to(I think that's the name)? I think it's still the biggest. Did you take part in any of the fun stuff they're supposed to have there (roller coaster, etc)?
.... oooh, we want pictures!

Re: Canadians
*Gasp* I didn't go through the rides area! I wanted to go to the waterpark, but I didn't feel up to it at the particular time, but I totally brought my swim gear just incase the urge occurred, but I did stare at how fun it looked and the paintings on the walls in there were awesome.
I did stop and watch the sea lion briefly! And I mostly just walked around and my friend and I shopped. I've been to the West Ed before, so it wasn't totally new to me or nothing. I've yet to take a submarine ride though or go on the Pirate Ship. I totally want to one day dress piratey and go on it and get pictures. It'd be amazing!
