'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE ELECTIONS

'Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!
I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Sick of political crap.
When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out my window
Saw Obama and his boys
They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!
He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink
He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!
On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi'
He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DON’T WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

^^^ Nice piece of republican propaganda. She didn't say she didn't want to work hard and be self sufficient. It sounds to me like she feels like under Obama the economy will improve, and she won't have to bust her ass just to fill up her tank, and worry about how she's going to make her next mortgage payment. I don't want to have to have to choose between filling my tank and buying food, I don't want to have to take on another job to support myself and my family, and never see my child. Who does?

I am so proud to be a democrat. I read that waitress thing and all I could think is that my reply would have been "Then I hope I serve you VERY well so the homeless man outside has enough for a warm meal of his own tonight."

Since when is helping less fortunate people a bad thing?

Some of us just want EQUAL RIGHTS. This is 2008 - not 1808. I'm a democrat because I believe in health care for ALL - even those who don't have it through their business. I think EVERYONE deserves help when they're down. I believe that we really are ALL entitled to the same rights under our constitution. The republicans on this board are so rude and arrogant, it makes me realize why I am so PROUD to be a democrat.

One day you may be unemployed, down on your luck, or without healthcare - and you know what? The democrats STILL won't turn you away - despite your cruelty and disregard of others now.

PS: Obama is SO going to win. Ahem.
