Whoa! that is one SCHWEET list! Ghost in the Shell and Bleach are awesome too. I just recently got into Death Note and I've always wanted to see the X anime (just read a few of the mangas)

....I'm gonna have to look into X now. I've heard of "Howl's Moving Castle" but don't know much about it.
I must also mention Paranoia Agent and FLCL ?, they were both weird at first but watching them in entirety a second time I fell in love

TIME TO RESERECT ANOUTHER ONE - My fav. waz an always will be trigun (he's a blubbering idiot and I love it) but Ive seen almost if not everyone of the Inyuasha episodes and we have a few of the movies acually I'm watching Tears of a Half Demon but the new one Im into for the past few years is Ghost in a Shell but does anyone remember the first Gundum

I didn't even realize we had this thread. So yeah, I'm the anime guy around these parts. I hope to see more people get into it. Since it seems to be the thing to do, and since it will hopefully provide a good starting point to people who want to know what anime they should watch first, I'll post my current top 10:
1. Cowboy Bebop
2. Neon Genesis Evangelion
3. FLCL
4. Gurren Lagann
5. Samurai Champloo
6. Samurai X: Trust & Betrayal
7. Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood actually takes a higher spot right now)
8. Death Note
9. Beck
10. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
But honestly, for people on this forum who don't think they like anime, watch Beck first. It's about a few high school kids who form a band and I'm sure you'll all love it. I've also heard great things about Clannad After Story, but I've only seen the first few episodes of the original Clannad, so I can't judge that yet.
