What would YOU pick to be the next single?

For some reason I always like to talk about this. People's reasons for why they'd pick what they do always give me some new insight into songs.
I'd pick Cancer. First reason being it's a badass song. IMO it also has a rock radio friendly sound, too. Second reason because it rocks from start to finish. The first two singles both started out slow, Cancer is hard right off the bat. That way people who aren't familiar with the whole album won't think the songs always follow the same format. Next reason (tying into the fact that it's one of the harder tracks on the album) the crowd always seems most enthusiastic when the singles are played, the casual fans know them. Take that enthusiasm, add Cancer, equals a whole bunch of people going crazy, thus adding to the whole concert experience.

So that's my pick. I think about these things way too much.

i agree as well... cancer is great.
i also like Pitiful, think it would grab the attention of the general population.

I am sorta biased as I absolutely LOVE The Bottom... I think it would make a great single, simply because it's an awesome song and I could never hear it too many times.

For the 3rd single off the album, I'd have to say 'cancer'! It's got that hook from the first note to the end! As stated already, it's rock radio friendly, and I think it's what people who are newcomers to the SP scene are looking for.

Personally, I think all the songs on 'dressed up as life' are worthy of singles. I think they'd all do good at radio.

Final answer: 'Cancer'!

Lol, everyone picks "Cancer". It is a great song and would have a lot of potential as a single, but what about the other awesome songs on the CD like "The Bottom" and "Pitiful"?

'Pitiful' would be a great single. So would 'Deliverance'. They are both great songs with some great beats. I also think that a lot of people could easily relate to 'Pitiful" in some way.

Oh I agree...The Bottom would be great for the next one. Its one of my drivng in the car songs.
