I LOVE this band as well. I saw them a lot in 2006 when they were doing a bunch of summer festivals. Evey festival gate I would walk out of, they were the ones who stuck in my memory. Brent sure talks. And talks and talks and talks. :laugh:

I was looking for a hilarious video on YouTube where a crowd member yelled "Shut up and play music" to which Brent responded by talking even more, lmao. I haven't given up on finding it, but I found this video that was taken at a show here in Little Rock AR. After reading the comments it looks like there was a fight up at the front. I love the way he ends this.

I didn't like the new album so much (loved the first two though), but I do like the title track, "Sound of Madness", cool song!

Love this band. Saw them live back on May 6th. Probably the best concert I've ever been to. But that will change on August 16th when I see Sick Puppies.

So, reviving the thread a little, I have a story about one of their songs i discovered myself.

I've been listening to Shinedown alot lately, trying to get their second album that I hated (Us and Them) to grow on me. And, I am so totally loving this song called "Beyond the Sun". Eventually I listened to that (An insane amount of times) and cycled through the album and I love it.

Checking on lyricsondemand.com, I see:

"[Written by members of the Orlando based band 3AE and recorded on September 5, 2002 by 3AE and lead singer and writer Chris Rice]"

at the top of the lyrics for Beyond The Sun. And I'm like "It's a cover!?". So I start looking to find out who this Chris Rice is. What I came across almost made me cry.

Chris Rice was apart of a band called 3AE. This band a month prior to said date singed a record label deal. It was a dream come true. On september 5th, they finished recording their first album and were preparing to finalize the tracks and release them.

It never made it. On the morning of September 6th, at the crest of his dream, Chris Rice was killed in a fatal car accident. He never got to see the album released.

It's my guess that, although I have no proof, this was release on their second album in the memory that an artist would want to be remembered in. His song could never become big, because he never had a chance to release it. Any artist would cry hearing this because they know how hard it is.

So Shinedown covered it, and showed the world a beautiful, beautiful song. They helped the late Chris find his dream. Which is what Shinedown is all about.

I went to go see Shinedown with Sick Puppies last night. They were amazing live. After the show I got to meet Zach!

Haha, that's cool. Shinedown is amazing live, in my opinion. I was pretty much second or third row at the show I saw? They really get the crowd going. Got a little rough, but it always does at that venue because people like to drink too much.

I was at the show with Casey and CrystalAN85... And it was my first time seeing them as well and I will never let it down! I have pictures on my facebook from it and just being there was amazing!

I wasn't disappointed with either set of the bands! But Shinedown really brought the house down! Seriously!

In the venue me and the others were at, There was NO standing on the chairs that were there, but Brent said that we needed to do and go against the rules and the security gaurds we had were shaking their heads no but we did it anyways! And one more thing, There was a guy that seriously got into it just as much as Brent was getting into it!

Oh! One more thing! lol! Brent came by my row and slapped me and another World Crew members hand!
