To be honest shim, I think DUAL had a great balance of lyrical....Awesomeness. Howard's Tale, My world, All the same, and Anywhere but here are packed enormous amount of emotion and feeling. And then Pitiful, Cancer, Deliverance, and the bottom are just KICK ass. I'm not sure how else to word it, but I just think DUAL was perfectly balanced in that regard.

Personally, I respond to whatever I can relate to, My World really gets in side me and hits hard. And at the end of Howard's Tale I just go "Whoah..", That song is deep. I think the song that people feel the most is My World though, at least thats it seems from everyones comments.

And I just wanted to bring this up, but have you guys ever considered putting Shards, and Pathogen on the new album?? =P

And if its lyrics from other bands that you wanted, for me, I connect with "Rise Today" and "White Knuckles" from Alter Bridge. I could write pages about how much I love the message in those 2 songs... That whole Blackbird album is just insane.

I guess there's not much that I can say that hasn't already been said! I agree very much with what everyone else has said... A song that really hits home is one that I can relate to... One with meaning. My favorite songs lyrically have been "My World" and "Too Many Words".

i know i'm a little late but i would have to say "my world" and "Too many words"

My World: because when i was 6 or 7 my dad and my mom separated and ever since then ive been a little messed up. and now i'm afraid of people leaving me. i dont want ot be alone any more. my mom and dad couldnt find common ground so he missed a lot of birthdays, christmas, thanksgiving etc and i feel like theres a hole inside me that would never be filled.

Too Many Words: my boyfriend and i have problems. we fight and then we're kissing on each other and i cant do it no more. i love him but i hate the fights we have. heres a story for ya. my boyfriend got into a hugh fight and after i need to listen to something and i turn on my ipod and "too many words" was about to play so i started to listen to it and then i started to cry. then now i dont know where i stand with him.

Hey guys!
Shim here. I'm sorry i haven't written much but you know me right.
it's cause I've been working my little bum off all the time on this record. As you can probably see by the ustream episodes everytime you guys tune in I'm playing the guitar cause we're really pulling out all the stops on this record.
Also because emma lays her parts down in a couple of takes and I've always been a hack!
But I've been reading all your posts about the album titles and the next tour set list and it's kinda funny. we are all on the same page. All the songs you guys have picked are the same ones that we picked!
Except we weren't sure about say my name cause we've been doing it for so long. we were thikning about doing a different one. A different cover I mean. But if you guys just wanna keep hearing that, that's cool with us. We already know that one thru and thru!
I'm jumping between studios at the moment playing guitars and then going next door to sing on the songs I played on the night before. So I got my work cut out for me. I should never have picked up that guitar and just been a singer. I'd have my work cut in half
So keep the good vibes coming and I'm sure your gonna love the new record.
I wasn't sure at first just because I'm very insecure but now that I've heard it coming to fruition Even I am secure in the new record which is saying a lot.
Any way! Time for me to get back to work again.

Hey Shim - thanks for updating us even though you are super busy ! I think it's really cool that you guys picked the same songs as the crew to keep on the setlist A new cover would be wicked as well, and I agree with Becky that a rotating set list would be sweet .
We are all so hyped for the new record and the start of the tour - and I know we are going to love the new songs .. the titles alone are freakin' rad
