Wassup kids? My name is Tim. Despite what my thread title may lead you to believe, I am in no way, shape, or form, that "southern" by any stretch of the imagination, I just happen to live in South Carolina. Anyway, I'm 27, I played bass in band named Mind Your Head for about 4 years before we all went our seperate ways with everyone graduating college and whatnot. Anyway, I came upon the Sick Puppies one day back when I was bartending. One of our servers brought in her laptop and wanted to show me this video she had seen, which happened to be the "Free Hugs" video (I had not heard or seen anything about the video before this point). I instantly decided I loved the song, as well as the concept. From that point, I looked up and listened to everything I could about SP. and especially fell in love with their version of "Say My Name." To this day, I have seen them all four times they have graced the state of Siouth Carolina with their presence (technically five times, with the 5th being a day of show acoustic gig at a record store with Saving Abel). I even got to meet them for a couple minutes when they played teh acoustic gig, being that I was pretty much the one who got them on the radio here in Columbia since I'm good friends with the music director at the local rock station. I now have the autographed poster and CD framed and hanging on my wall in sort of a collage deal. Anyway, I love the music and everything they do for their fans and the rest of the world, and I only see a very bright future for SP and their fans. Nothing can truly go wrong if you're a good person, ya know? I look forward to the day I can officially become an Ambassador for them and do even more to let their music and story be known everywhere. Pizzle in da Mizzle!

Oh I will...I'm just waiting the 30 days the application says to, and then on day 31 you will have an application from me! Until then, I will do my best to pimp SP all over the interweb AND the southeast....cause no one likes a good hard hitting song like SEC country!

Welcome Tim! I don't think there are very many people here (that I can think of off the top of my head) from your area. Can't say I've ever been to SC, but I regularly visit family in Charlotte (love Charlotte btw). The pups usually play Amos there. I would LOVE to have one of my visits overlap a concert there, but no luck on that fron just yet!

Anyway, glad you found your way here. The Pups are awesome and around here, we're pretty dang confident this is going to be a big year for them. We'd love to have you share in helping them out!
