Where/When did you first hear the Sick Puppies? (POLL)

The first time I ever heard Sick Puppies was from the Free Hugs video. I didn't know it was them at the time, but what really made me become a fan of them was when I saw them opening for "The band that shall not be named" and Finger Eleven in Duluth. They were so amazing live!

As I've stated elsewhere, it was the Street Fighter commercial that got me into SP. I heard them play on YT 08 Live but knew nothing about them at the time.

The first time I ever heard them is from the Free Hugs video when my friend showed me it at his house. I'm so glad he happened to make me watch that. I don't think I'd have heard of them if it wasn't for that moment.

The first time I heard them was in the summer of 07 with the free hugs video on mtv which was part the video then part them playing a festival somewhere, I think my first thought was I think I like this song along with wooh they have a chick bassist so I had to check them out but it wasn't till I heard them for the first or actually more so second time that I understood what kind of musicians they were and was hooked soon after.

In late 2006 on my local radio station, 99.9 The Buzz. They play a new song every weekday for their "Fresh Meat" segment. On this day, they played a new unknown band who had just moved from Australia to LA called Sick Puppies. The song was called All the Same. Then came the 99 cent show and the 3 shows after, all at Higher Ground within 2 years, and the rest is history.

It was in 2007 ; I was found of The All-American Rejects, and Sick Puppies were in the "those who bought this also bought" list of iTunes.

So I went on YouTube and looked for "Sick Puppies" ; I found the Free Hugs videos, but didn't watched them, as I was looking for a true music video.. And I finally found My World ; I listened to it and liked it, but at the moment I didn't knew, while Shim was saying "Welcome to my world" that I would truly enter in their world.

Iheard them perform "All the Same" on Leno and then it was all over from there.

I believe they did 2 buzzfest in the woodlands o missed the first one they had just ended my friend Julie told me how kick ass they were. So the next time I got there on time. First thought was this chick is crazy. I'm not the biggest on lyrics I do read them but the music an sound of the vocals and rythem are what stick besides losing my voice I was tapping my fingers for at least a week. And now once again no voice and i can't stop idle hands. Thank you sick puppies

It was love at first sight for me when they opened for Finger 11. Funny thing is people were leaving the Race Park when they were done. SP outperformed Finger 11.

I first discovered the band while they were performing with Flyleaf at The Dome here in Bakersfield. I normally do not care much for opening acts at shows, but they were just soo good. We bought their CD that night. Hubby and I. : ) We have been fans ever since.

Took my son to Mayhemfest Slipknot/Distubed last year. And the young lady sitting next to us was saying she wanted to see Sick Puppies at the Q101 Block Party in Sept. So next day went to their Site looking for who was gonna be playing and looked at the Sick puppies and My World was playing on the site. That was the end of it, Got Hooked.

My band (could promote them here, but i'll refrain ) was in a battle of the bands in Tupelo, Mississippi, in the fall of 2008. After the battle the people running it played "All the Same". I remembered loving the song but never really thought about it much after.

Then in the spring of 2009 I was interested in finding a few new bands that I liked so I used similar music search engine (http://www.skreemr.com) and typed in Chevelle. One of the results was Sick Puppies and I listened to "My World" and was instantly in love.

Dressed up as Life is easily in my top 3 cds of all time now.

The first time i heard SP was really late, it was "You're going down" for the WWE PPV, i loved it from the first moment so that i ordered "Dressed up as Life" one day later. I listened it up and down the whole day long 'til "Tri-Polar" was released, now i listen to both the whole day long

I turned the TV on a Sunday morning when I was studying in Australia and saw them playing "Nothing Really Matters" live, touring as part of the Channel V bus or something (maybe in 2001?). Anyway, I thought the band sounded and looked really interesting and I made sure to remember the name.

My life went on as usual 'til 2004, when a friend held a small-ish tsunami benefit concert at a sports club near Sydney Darling Harbour. So I went there and guess who was playing? =p

Anyway, I was a fan from then on. Sure, it was a free benefit concert, but I loved how relaxed and awesome their playing were at the time. <3

heard about SP one day listening to the new alternative rock station on yahoo launchcast, just saw the song all the same and SP pop up and I was like "who is this band" I listened to it, fell in love with the song and wanted to find out more about SP, then saw the free hugs vid, then later bought dressed up as life and the rest is history.
