Got to the show last night at 8:45 & missed all but the last 2 songs. We were completely bummed out. What we heard sounded amazing & the crowd was way into them. It's completely beyond me how they went on at 8pm when the club says doors open at 7pm and there are 2 bands on the bill before the main acts.
We'll catch them next time, and hopefully they'll be playing in the headline slot where they are supposed to be.
They deserve way better than a co-headlining club tour with anyone. I wish their record company would step-up and do some actual promotion for the band. A first video released weeks after the record? It's not right. You can't create buzz about a new release that way. (end rant...)
Nothing personal to the guys in Hurt, but they really aren't even near the same league as the Pups. Somebody in or close to the band must be related to someone in the record biz, because nothing about them is original or interesting. Good on them to get to this level somehow.

What a bummer man! I wouldn't get to a show that late for fear of that happening to me. Some of the shows on this tour, they've had to squeeze in a lot in a little amount of time. At the show I went to recently, the opener was on at 7, when typically it wouldn't be until at least 8. Hurt went on at like 7:45 until about 8:30, then SP came on at 9.
Thankfully they are in your area pretty frequently so you can catch them the next time. Next time, be sure to get there early (or at least by published show time just to be safe)... Besides that way you get to people watch and have a drink before with no pressure.
Hang in there!

That really is a bummer! Like you said Sick Puppies and Hurt are co-headlining the tour so they've been alternating who is headlining for the night. They headlined the other night in Lancaster, but Sick Puppies were first on the tickets so we still thought they were going to headline.
Hopefully you will be able to get to another show soon.

That really does suck and I agree that they deserve more. But that's what we're here for! We gotta help spread the word to get the Pups to the status we all know they deserve. I know that the record label seems to be doing at least a little better than for Dressed Up As Life, but I still think they need all headlining shows. They will get there eventually! We are taking the right steps! I hope that you get to experience a whole show soon, it really is absolutely AMAZING! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you

Re: 2 years I waited...
I was at the show in Lancaster and let me start off, Sick Puppies were absolutely AMAZING!!! The first time i saw them live was on Dec. 2,2007 in Wilkes Berry, PA and they have been my favorite band ever since. I was pretty bummed that there was a 2+ year gap between live performances i could attend, so i understand why you were so bummed about missing most of the show. Sick Puppies do deserve all headlining slots, they have certainly proven themselves at the two shows i have been to.
