I don't bring cameras to concerts, but I've never heard of anyone not being able to bring their camera in to Higher Ground.

Im leaving in like an hour but if anyone's still around, what should i do with my lithograph?! I wanna get it signed but its a bit big to carry through the entire concert...any ideas?

Unfortunately the Veer Union is done for the tour so they are having local bands in the area play. One good thing is that Sick Puppies headlined last night so Hurt should be headlining tonight and you won't have to wait so long.

What an amazing show. By far the best part of my summer. I went wearing the white Tri-Polar shirt and black wristband that came with the Go Merch package 3. A few hours before the show, it sold out, just like the past 4 shows at Higher Ground. There was another last-minute addition so another band from Montreal played first (Play the Angel I believe), making it 3 opening bands. None of them were that great, so I would rather there had been less of them and more time for the Pups. After Sidecar Radio played, there was a bit of a wait, filled with the inevitable clusterf*ck near the front. But I soon forgot that my lungs were collapsing between tons of sweaty body mass when then the main event came. They destroyed our humble little venue, just as they have the past 4 times. For most of their set there was one person in front of me, and considering how packed the place, plus the fact that we got there later than I would've liked, that's pretty good. Their set list was packed with Tri-Polar songs and heavier Dressed Up As Life songs. I'll probably try to remember the full set list later. It was great to finally hear some of the new songs live, and even the usual antics of the older songs were still awesome. They "finished" their set and let us wait a minute for the inevitable encore (even people who haven't seen them know that they're not going to leave without playing All the Same or My World). Between the acknowledgment earlier on The Buzz that fans really wanted to hear White Balloons and the actual white balloons flying around, I was hoping they'd break it out for us, but no such luck. The security made a meet and greet more rushed than I had hoped for. Still, I bought a tour shirt and a new button (still the old Dressed Up As Life button) to replace the one on my hat that got beat up pretty badly at, ironically, the last Sick Puppies show, and picked up a free sticker. While playing, Shim claimed they had new dog tags available for the first time at this show, but I didn't feel like spending another $15 on something I probably wouldn't get much out of. I got them all to sign my ticket, a Higher Ground poster advertising the show that I "borrowed" from the wall, and the tour shirt. The last time I had them sign a black shirt with a silver sharpie it washed out pretty quickly, so I don't know if this shirt will be signed for much longer. I thanked them for the great show as usual and mentioned I was from the World Crew. Then I was on my way and I haven't stopped thinking about how great the show was even now at 2:00 AM. I wonder if I'll be able to sleep tonight...
