Haha nice. We should all get there around the same time. You'll have to introduce yourself. My girlfriend has a White Balloons tattoo on her arm and I'll be with her. Between us and Jami and Matt, we should own the rail

Okay well we'll be there so I should probably see you. We're bringing food so we can stay in line and be on the rail.

Re: West Chester, PA - The Note 12 August 2009
Ahhh..My neck hurt so bad..But that was an amazing show! I thought Sick Puppies were amazing before but I'll never look at them the same again. It was just stunning. I've got a picture of the promise I made: Emma, Mark and Shim DID sign my arm, and I WILL be getting it tattooed either tomorrow or Friday. My arm was sweaty, so Mark's didn't stick so well; Instead I had them sign a piece of paper for a tattooed artist to copy over for me. I'm, however, INCREDIBLY protective of Emma's, because for whatever reason she did it, instead of signing it in her normal signature, she used what appears to be Kanji, and on the paper she signed it with her normal signature. I don't know if it's abnormal for her to sign it this way or not but..
So I took a couple pictures! Here's the best one:

I have alot of other stuff, but I'm exhausted and my neck hurts. I saw some of you there! I'm pretty sure I saw Donna atleast. xD She was front of the line and pretty much looked exactly like her picture on myspace so...
Anyways, just wanted to say thanks to everyone! Because my first Sick Puppies concert, I certainly will never forget.
Edit: Oh, I didn't get any pictures with the band but this will be far from my last show, and I shall get pictures with them later on!! The real reason is, we actually forgot our camera. xD One person thought I was bringing one, and I thought they were bringing one, so we both left them home.

I was amazed though. At all the 10 concerts I've been to, people would ALWAYS try to push in front of me. With the exception of one person, who I won't mention because I'm sure she became the talk of the night and I don't want to risk starting any type of flame war or fight if she's here/knows someone here, NO ONE even tried to budge me. Everyone was incredibly respectful of their positions, and didn't push or shove anyone. It was honestly and truly amazing!! I could rant on and on about my first SP concert, so I suppose I should just stop before I make a fool of myself!

Re: West Chester, PA - The Note 12 August 2009
Yeah --- it's definitely awesome to actually see them for the first time and get a real grasp on how they connect with the audience. Shim is a master at making you feel like you're just as much a part of what they're doing up there on stage as they are. Plus he's just about the sweetest, goofiest guy out there.
The show was definitely very good but holy CRAP is that place tiny. James had a hell of a time setting up, but worse was that they had like, no room to move. I felt so bad for Emma because she's usually all over the place --- here she only had a few feet to work with. There was no rail so we were right up against the stage, which was pretty cool, Emma came to the middle a few times and if I wasn't so unbelievably short I would have feared getting bassed in the head. It was up very high though so my neck was a mess afterwards. And still is.
Anyone else want to comment on that crazy drunk chick? What the crap? She was freaking out the whole show, bumping in to people and screaming --- but in a very very drunk obnoxious way. At one point near the end of the set (and this happened right behind me, mind you) she started moshing in to this guy who wasn't into it at all (also, no one else was moshing or trying to be) so the guy switched spots with his friend, who also didn't want to deal with her so when she did it to him so he got annoyed and gave her a decent shove back. Being drunk and idiotic, she wasn't so steady on her feet and she knocked in to an older guy who was really enjoying the show at the time, and he went down --- on top of SP's cases and stuff --- and had to be escorted out, holding his mouth so he was obviously hurt. Meanwhile? No one even forced crazy drunk lady out. She just swore at the girl standing in front of her a little for telling her to calm down, then walked away. Worse? It was the guy's 52nd birthday --- earlier in the show he shouted out to Shim and he dedicated 'My World' to him.
But...the show was good! Sorry for ranting about that, it was just utterly idiotic. The security in that place was lacking a bit. We got to talk and share fries with the lead singer of Tunnels to Holland (who's actually really nice, we hung out with him a bit after the show too) and J from Hurt hung out with us a bit outside the venue before the show and told us he wishes he was gay...so that's cool too! Plus hugs and overall coolness from Shim and Mark --- and James who gets even MORE awesome points for giving us TWO Emma picks just 'cause Cassie mentioned she still didn't have one. Paul gets lots too because he gave us a setlist and a Shim pick.
Cassie's gonna be so mad she didn't get to do the ridiculously long post this time. HA!

Re: West Chester, PA - The Note 12 August 2009
^^^^ What Lyzz said. I voluntarily gave up my spot against the stage to stand on the balcony with Matt, Donna, and TJ. The place was too small and the stage too high to comfortably stand there without getting a neckache. It was definitely a great so (even though Shim forgot to play Say My Name ).
After SP played soooo many people left and there were only about 50-100 people left on the floor area for Hurt. SP took pics with people after the shows was over, but I don't think many of them knew there would be pics at the end of the show. I think they took maybe 10 pics total (and I was helping Elena pass out the camera cards so I was standing there).

Re: West Chester, PA - The Note 12 August 2009
Dang Lyzz. You beat me. I bet I can still make a decently long post.
We left as early as we were ready (1ish) and because I speed, we got there at about 3:15 as Emma was running down the street...lol. Dan from Tunnels was like our BEST friend the entire show. He fist bumped us on stage and gave us a lot of hugs throughout the night. All because we gave him our leftover fries...And I have to like Hurt now, cause J was super cool. (He seems cranky on stage but that is apparently just an act)
The venue was definitely tiny, but the upstairs was really nice. If it wasn't so far away I could see myself going there again for a band I wasn't super excited to see, and just chill out on the couches. It was a pain however to be in the front row and try to watch everyone like that. During Tunnels I just stared at their feet to save my neck, altho his mic, Shim's feet, and Emma's bass got frighteningly close to my head/fingers at times...
SP played a great set. Shim's mic was turned down too low tho, so I could only really hear him when he was tlaking. Drunken lady was annoying, but as she was walking away, she DID get escorted out for causing trouble. Paul was there this time too (he hasn't been at the shows lately) and he said hi to me as he was taking SP stuff down. I'm surprised he recognized me. He let me grab the setlist right off stage. I just wish Emma was a bit more social and would hang out with us a bit more. The last two shows she seemed to disappear pretty quick
As far as Mark seeming impatient, he has a lot of stuff to do, just like everyone else. And what do you mean, when they pulled up? They were there since before I got there, and I was the first one at the venue.
See Lyzz...long post anyway
