I am one of the few who didn't hear of SP from the Free Hugs video. I am a huge HURT fan and didn't get a chance to catch a show when they toured with SP a couple years back. But this time around, I was able to catch 2 shows (Dallas, TX and Abilene, TX). When I heard that HURT was touring with them again, I picked up DUAL and then I got Tri-Polar the day it was released, and listened to it several times before seeing them live 3 days later. The Dallas House of Blues show was great, but seeing them up close and personal in Abilene was amazing. Then talking with them after the show was just an added treat. Easily one of the best shows I've ever seen. HURT is still tops on my list (I have a HUGE tattoo of their logo on my left forearm), but Sick Puppies are definitely right there as well. I'm taking my wife to see them again on October 11th in Dallas, opening for Shinedown... I'll be picking up tickets as soon as they confirm the date... we don't want to see just Shinedown.
Over half of my "Top 25" on my iPod is Sick Puppies, and that's just within the last month and a half. So, yeah, I'm a newbie, but I'm now a HUGE fan. I've taken on the task of finding all the material I can, including already finding a copy of Welcome to the Real World (I've been hunting down rare music for a LONG time)...

Thanks again guys! Yes, they are amazing live. And being up front and center at a club with a 2 foot high stage makes it all the better. I always seem to get spoiled on seeing bands at smaller club shows, and it's always a letdown to go to a big show or a festival.
