Grrrr, this makes me sad. The one time I'm home from Ireland they play the local venue... 3 WEEKS AFTER I LEAVE. :'( $18 too... Ridiculously cheap (on Irish standards, anyway.) for such an amazing band!

Hi everyone! I am planning to come up from Long Island with a friend to this Poughkeepsie show. The ride is 2 hours and 49 minutes according to mapquest. lol Anyway, I want to check on the following before I buy my tix:

1) What time do the Sick Puppies arrive on stage and how long is the set??
2) Do they go on first or in what order?

3) Can I volunteer to do anything at the show to help, like the email list or other stuff? Let me know I would love to help out!

I caaann't wait to see them again! Long ride to get to see them this time so I want to plan well. If I don't plan, I will end up getting up there after they are on stage. And if I get a volunteering assignment this will help me stay on schedule coming up there!

ps...I may be able to pick up the person looking for a ride from NYC if they want. But you would need to meet at a place that is easy for me to get in and out of the city location. I drive that way off of Long Island.

^ Yeah, the "on stage" times they give me are always tentative, but it's a good approximate. And if they don't go on at those times, it's almost always later.

So it turns out my initial thought was correct and I won't be able to make the show. Traveling for work...as usual.

Howard, I will miss you and your wife in the front this year. Hopefully there won't be any crazies trying to jump over us or trying to rush the stage.

Katy, Thank you very much for the offer! Trust me Janus live isn't that good. In Cleveland people were calling them Ear-sore (a play on their single "eye sore") and I even heard a few yelling to get off the stage.

Jami - I had seen them open for SP before (back in Feb. of this year) and I thought their set was hilarious as the lead singer invited us to boo at (I think) the drummer first and then the guitarist for screwing it up like three times.

I've been trying to convince a long time friend to go to this show, it's only 45 minutes from his house. All week he's been telling me he's going and now it's "maybe? if I stay awake?" I feel like comming up there and punching him.
