SP German Fanforum

Hey all

You knew i am from Germany and i want to make the Sick Puppies more popular in Germany, so i want to create a Fan Forum like this and i have a few questions

First of all ist the registering of a Top Level Domain. You think that there are problems if i register the Domain "sickpuppies.de"? Many artists and firms are very emberrassing if someone register an TLD with their name or something that can be associated with them. Same question is for graphics that include the SP font.

The second thing question is "Why should potential Users register on that forum?" Is there any possibilty to get exclusive contents for a Fan Forum like Interviews or some special content like exclusive news or something else? I hope you knew what i mean. I wouldn't create a Forum with the only reason that there is spoken German on it.

The third, and in my eyes most important question is, do you think it is rentable? I mean i would like to spend money in this project and it would be annoyed if nobody cares about? I know that i have to do a lot to make it a success but do you really think the time is already so far that such a project can live?

I hope you can help me with my questions and give me a lot of tipps 'cause i really want to support the SP

Mario, as far as the name and graphics, I think you would get the best answer by PMing Susanna. I'm not sure about the other part...do you think there are a lot of German fans? I honestly don't know how popular they are in Germany.

I don't know if there are a lot of fans, but there should be a lot of And i think such a forum is best way to bring it over, but i am sceptic, so i would knew some other opinions

Maybe if there is a bigger fanbase in Germany the Puppies would come nearer in time over the sea

I absolutly don't know if it is possible, but I just wanted to tell you it is an excellent idea.

I hope you will be succesful, 'cause the Puppies absolutly need European fans.

(Or at least, I want them to have some European fans so as to bring them here X))

I have a suggestion. Why don't you start a German forum on a free site (like smfforfree.com ) and if it takes off, you can upgrade it to a paid forum with no ads. That way, if people aren't into it, you don't lose out. And if they ARE into it, you don't have to start a new one, just upgrade the one you already made.

But well, doing a European forum... Except if you mean making a forum with different languages, it would be useless, 'cause it'd be an English-speaking forum, and we already have the World Crew. ^^
